A long distance or marathon runner doesn’t attend a competition without first thinking about and then preparing for how they will begin the race.  it’s the first few seconds after the “launch” that sets the pace, that initiates the first sensations of momentum, and that gathers up the energies that the race will require.  Once the race is then underway, every adjustment that runner makes in response to their body, their competitors, and the race environment has already BEEN considered.  Every variable has a plan attached to it. In a world where tens and tens of thousands of new singles are released every single day, don’t show up to the runners block without preparing for the race. Not if you want to place.
